Works

Kayo Deschene is a visionary costume designer known for her evocative work in contemporary theatre and opera. She has collaborated on numerous productions with renowned director Satoshi Miyagi, both with the acclaimed Ku Na’uka Theatre Company and the Shizuoka Performing Arts Center (SPAC).

 

Her distinctive style, which merges traditional Japanese aesthetics with innovative design, has drawn international attention. In recent years, she has expanded her creative reach to Europe, designing for prestigious opera houses and music festivals, and continuing to bring Japanese sensibilities to global stages.
